Take a scare-filled tour of the United States in the series 50 States of Fright, an original debuting on short-form streaming service Quibi.
Executive produced by Sam Raimi, who’s also on board as one of the writers, the horror series explores stories based on urban legends from different places in the United States, taking viewers deeper into the horrors that lurk just beneath the surface. There’s a good amount of talent on board, including A Quiet Place writers Scott Beck & Bryan Woods (who also direct an ep); directors including Lee Cronin (The Hole in the Ground) and Daniel Goldhaber (Cam); and a cast that includes Taissa Farmiga, Lulu Wilson, Ron Livingston, Christina Ricci, Rachel Brosnahan, Asa Butterfield, Rory Culkin and Travis Fimmel, among others.
Quibi’s an interesting idea: Short-form content, with episodes running 10 minutes or under in length. It’s hitting the U.S. on April 6 (around now), but unfortunately there’s still no Australian release date for the service. 50 States of Fright hits Quibi on April 13.
