A few little goodies have arrived for upcoming sequel A Quiet Place: Part II.
Alas, it’s not a complete trailer, but we do have some footage to get the hype going, as well as the first official image (above) and US poster (below). Paramount Pictures has unveiled a trailer tease to market the release of the film’s first trailer, which is set to hit the net on January 2nd (Australian date). It’s a quick look, but it does its job; already emitting tension, with no word spoken, as what’s left of the Abbott family oh-so quietly make their way into the outside world. Whatever lays ahead, it’s not going to be good. As the synopsis below says, it’s not just the sound-sensitive monsters they’ve got to look out for this time around.
The first film was an unexpected hit, helping turn things around for what was at that point a struggling Paramount. John Krasinski (The Office, Jack Ryan) co-starred in, directed and co-wrote the sci-fi horror-thriller, delivering a hugely suspenseful hit that went on to receive wide acclaim and over $US340 million worldwide from a budget of around $US17 million.
Krasinski returns as director and is this time sole screenwriter. Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe return as our lead family, with new faces including Cillian Murphy and Djimon Hounsou.
A Quiet Place: Part II will be in Australian cinemas on March 19 and US cinemas on March 20, 2020. Can’t wait.
