The first Agent Carter clip has been released, giving us a snippet from the upcoming series that will see Hayley Atwell reprising the role she played in Captain America: The First Avenger and Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
The series will follow Peggy Carter as she balances administrative work and secret missions for Howard Stark (Dominic Cooper), on top of dealing with the loss of her love, Steve Rogers.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. hasn’t exactly knocked it out of the park in terms of quality, but it does have a strong following. It’s going to be interesting to see whether or not audience’s embrace a female-led, 1946-set Marvel series.
The clip below, from the pilot episode, sees Peggy hiding her double-life from her flatmate. A two-hour Agent Carter premiere will air on ABC January 6th (U.S. date).

“Marvel’s Agent Carter,” starring Captain America’s Hayley Atwell follows the story of Peggy Carter. It’s 1946, and peace has dealt Peggy Carter a serious blow as she finds herself marginalized when the men return home from fighting abroad. Working for the covert SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve), Peggy must balance doing administrative work and going on secret missions for Howard Stark all while trying to navigate life as a single woman in America, in the wake of losing the love of her life–Steve Rogers. Inspired by the feature films “Captain America: The First Avenger” and “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” along with the short “Marvel One-Shot: Agent Carter.”
