All the Wilderness Trailer: Kodi-Smit-McPhee Has Issues

The first trailer and poster has been released for the upcoming drama, All the Wilderness.

Kodi-Smit-McPhee stars as a troubled boy dealing with the death of his father by falling further into his imagination and depression. When he makes friends with another mysterious kid (Evan Ross), he begins to change, but is it for the better?

The visuals are great and the cast is impressive. Australian actor Kodi-Smit-McPhee has quite the CV for a young actor, with strong performances in The Road and Let Me In, so we’re excited to see him take on another layered role. Writer-director Michael Johnson makes his debut with this little drama, which has our curiosity well and truly piqued so far. And it also makes us realise how much we’ve missed Danny Devito.

Virginia Madsen and Isabelle Fuhrman also star.

Official synopsis for All the Wilderness:

James (Kodi-Smit-McPhee) has shut himself off from his surroundings, falling into a world of imagination and darkness. Visits with his psychiatrist (Danny Devito) have proven unhelpful – though he takes a liking to fellow patient, Val (Isabelle Fuhrman). As James begins to rebel against his single mother (Virginia Madsen), he ventures into the night where he meets a mysterious kid (Evan Ross) who welcomes him into an eccentric city. Relationships are put to the test as James navigates unfamiliar territory, wrestling with the reality of his own personal wilderness.
