‘Altered Carbon: Resleeved’ Trailer: Netflix Puts Kovacs in Anime movie

Check out the trailer Netflix has dropped for ALTERED CARBON: RESLEEVED, an feature anime spin-off of the streaming giant’s hit sci-fi series.

We’re still with Takeshi Kovacs in this new chapter, although this time we’re on the planet of Latimer as our sleeve-wearing badass endeavours to protect a young tattooist while investigating the death of a yakuza boss. Looks like slick stuff, and it should appeal to both fans of the show and of the anime. Anime lovers will be happy to know that it comes from acclaimed writer Dai Satō, known for Cowboy Bebop and Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex.

We’ll see if this can go someway in redeeming the series for fans who may have been disappointed with season 2. The recently released second chapter of the live-action series was met with mixed to poor reviews from audiences – a 38% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, for example, although it does have an 83% Tomatometer with critics.

Take a look at the trailer below. Altered Carbon: Resleeved will be premiering on Netflix on March 19.
