Watch a Recap of ‘Andor’s First Season Ahead of the Season 2 Premiere

Andor season 1 recap - Star Wars, Disney Plus

If you’re forgetting a few key moments from Andor’s first season, Disney’s got you sorted with a 14-minute recap to bring you back up to speed ahead of the season 2 release. Take a look below.

Andor season one charted the journey of Cassian Andor, a man who started off dodging responsibilities (and the Empire), only to find himself on a path to becoming a key player in the Rebel Alliance. Over 12 episodes, we watched Cassian evolve from self-serving scavenger to full-fledged revolutionary. He survived a high-stakes heist, endured a brutal stint in an Imperial prison, and suffered personal losses—including the death of his adoptive mother, Maarva. By the finale, aptly titled Rix Road, Cassian saves his friend Bix from Imperial clutches and confronts Luthen Rael with a simple offer: recruit me or kill me. Thankfully for the Rebellion, Luthen lowers his blaster.

The recap video highlights some of season one’s major threads: the oppression on Ferrix, Mon Mothma’s quiet rebellion in the Coruscant Senate, and Syril Karn’s unsettling fixation on Imperial order. It’s a sharp, emotional reminder of the cost of rebellion and the small, powerful acts that ignite change.

Disney’s marketing campaign includes releasing the first season’s first three episodes for free to watch on YouTube via the Disney+ channel. It’s a smart way to give the uninitiated (and those without Disney+) a chance to see if they’re interested in joining the rebellion ahead of the new season.

Andor season 2 will unfold across 12 episodes, structured into four three-episode arcs. The beginning of the end for Andor kicks off on April 23, with new episodes dropping weekly.
