Diego Luna revisits his Rogue One: A Star Wars Story role of Cassian Andor in a prequel series that takes place five years before the events of that film. The plot follows Cassian’s change of path, leaving his life as a thief to join the rebellion – a road destined to turn him into a rebel hero in the epic fight against the Galactic Empire.
The spy thriller series from Lucasfilm, filmed over two 12-episode seasons, also stars Genevieve O’Reilly, Stellan Skarsgård, Forest Whitaker, Adria Arjona, Denise Gough, Kyle Soller, Fiona Shaw and Faye Marsay. Creator and showrunner is Tony Gilroy (co-writer of Rogue One), who also serves as executive producer alongside Luna, Kathleen Kennedy, Sanne Wohlenberg, and Michelle Rejwan. Toby Haynes (Doctor Who, Black Mirror), Benjamin Caron (The Crown, Sherlock), and Susanna White direct specific episodes.
Watch out for the first three episodes of Andor season one to premiere exclusively on Disney+ on September 21st, with subsequent episodes following weekly.
