The ‘Animaniacs’ Return! ‘Jurassic Park’ Spoof Teases the Toon’s Long-Awaited Revival

Hulu

“This species of cartoon has been extinct since 1998!”

A whopping 22 years already since their show concluded, Yakko, Wakko and Dot, aka the Animaniacs, are finally retuning to screens. Streaming service Hulu will be housing the animated show’s revival – and they’ve released a fun little clip to get that hype going.

A hugely memorable scene from Jurassic Park, which was directed by Animaniacs executive producer Steven Spielberg, gets the spoof treatment as animated versions of Sam Neill, Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum witness the return of the Warner siblings. Spielberg himself makes an appearance, confirming the impending return of two other beloved animated characters: Pinky and the Brain.

The Animaniacs revival – with Rob Paulsen, Jess Harnell, and Tress MacNeille back voicing the lead trio – will be premiering on November 20th. A second season has also been confirmed, set for 2021.

Official synopsis for Hulu’s Animaniacs:

Hulu, Amblin Television, and Warner Bros. Animation are proud to unveil a brand-new version of the iconic family-friendly cartoon series for the whole family, as the Warner siblings, Yakko and Wakko, and the Warner sister Dot, have a great time wreaking havoc and mayhem in the lives of everyone they meet.

After returning to their beloved home, the Warner Bros. Water Tower, the Animaniacs waste no time in causing chaos and comic confusion as they run loose through the studio and beyond, turning the world into their personal playground.

Joining Yakko, Wakko, and Dot, fan-favorite characters Pinky and the Brain will also return to continue their quest for world domination in each of the 13 episodes.
