Yeah, that damned doll is back.
Take a look at the first trailer released for Annabelle Comes Home, the third film in the Annabelle series and the seventh installment in the overall Conjuring Universe franchise. While Ed and Loraine Warren (Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga, respectively) are back, it looks like a bit more of the focus will be going on their ten-year-old daughter Judy (Mckenna Grace), and the oh-so bad choices made by her babysitters (Madison Iseman and Katie Sarife). Hey, you had one room that you weren’t to go in… one where you shouldn’t touch anything, let alone everything.
It and Conjuring universe writer Gary Dauberman (Annabelle, Annabelle: Creation, The Nun) makes his directorial debut with this one, working from a script he also wrote. Franchise producer James Wan has the ‘Story By’ credit.
Annabelle Comes Home, also starring Stephen Blackehart and Steve Coulter, arrives in Aus on June 27 and opens in the US on June 28.
Official synopsis for Annabelle Comes Home:
Determined to keep Annabelle from wreaking more havoc, demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren bring the possessed doll to the locked artifacts room in their home, placing her “safely” behind sacred glass and enlisting a priest’s holy blessing. But an unholy night of horror awaits as Annabelle awakens the evil spirits in the room, who all set their sights on a new target—the Warrens’ ten-year-old daughter, Judy, and her friends.
