Check out the new trailer that’s arrived for Antebellum, the upcoming horror-thriller that was originally set for release in April before the mass rescheduling.
Janelle Monáe (Hidden Figures, Homecoming) plays author Veronica Henley, a woman who finds herself trapped in what looks like a time-jumping reality. The plot details for this one have been kept well and truly under wraps, which has certainly fuelled the intrigue. Thankfully, Roadshow Films in Australia and Lionsgate in the U.S. have held the film from a digital-first release so we can experience the mystery on the big screen.
It could be quite the film debut for directors/writers Gerard Bush and Christopher Renz, who have previously crafted short films, music videos, and successful campaigns in the advertising world.
Also starring Eric Lange, Jena Malone, Jack Huston, Kiersey Clemons, and Gabourey Sidibe, Antebellum will now open in Australia on August 20 and hit the U.S. on April 21.
Successful author Veronica Henley (Janelle Monáe) finds herself trapped in a horrifying reality and must uncover the mind-bending mystery before it’s too late. ANTEBELLUM is a terrifying new thriller from the producer of the acclaimed films GET OUT and US, and groundbreaking directors Gerard Bush and Christoper Renz (Bush+Renz) – an exciting new voice in filmmaking.
