First ‘Arcane’ Season 2 Trailer Arrives and Confirms It’s the Final Season

Some good and perhaps not-so-good news for fans of Netflix‘s fantastic animated series, Arcane.

The official teaser trailer for the second season of the video game adaptation (based on the League of Legends games) has arrived, providing a taste of what we’re in for following Jinx’s attack on the Piltover council. Vi and Jinx, voiced by Hailee Steinfeld and Ella Purnell respectively, are now all-out rivals as the conflict between the utopian city Piltover and its oppressed underbelly Zaun reaches boiling point.

The teaser also comes with the dreaded words, “witness the final chapter,” which is certainly a sad confirmation, BUT, it’s also good to know that the series is getting an ending instead of a cancellation. Plus, it appears that we have more projects set within this world to come!

“’Arcane is just the beginning of our larger storytelling journey and partnership with the wonderful animation studio that is Fortiche,” Arcane co-creator Christian Linke said in a statement. “From the very beginning, since we started working on this project, we had a very specific ending in mind, which means the story of Arcane wraps up with this second season. But Arcane is just the first of many stories that we want to tell in Runeterra.”

Arcane season 2 will begin streaming on Netflix sometime in November.
