‘Archer’ Season 10 Trailer Takes the Team to Space

The first trailer has been released for Archer season 10, which this time has Sterling and the team in outer space.

Get ready for Archer: 1999, another chapter that apparently takes place in Sterling Archer’s mind. Following Archer Dreamland, which had the team in 1947 noir-esque Los Angeles, and Archer Danger Island, which took place on a Pacific Island in 1938, 1999 has the team aboard salve spacecraft, the M/V Seamus. There are, of course, some big character tweaks; Pam is an alien creature, for example, and Krieger is no longer a parrot (Danger Island) but a synthetic human with questionable morals, “Algernop Krieger.”

Creator Adam Reed has announced that he’s leaving the series after this season, so there’s the potential that this could be the show’s last run. If it is, let’s hope they depart in hilarious fashion. It’s going to be a lot of fun seeing the gang in what Sterling would imagine outer space to be like.

Archer: 1999 will be hitting FXX on May 29.

Archer is an animated, half-hour comedy that follows Sterling Archer, Lana Kane, and their crew of acid-tongued misfits onboard the M/V Seamus salvage ship. An important question arises as they explore deep space and try to outsmart giant aliens, intergalactic pirates, and vicious bounty hunters: how do they survive each other? Welcome to the space-tastic world of Archer: 1999.
