FX has unveiled the very first teaser trailer for Archer season 7, giving us a throwback to Tom Selleck-starring series Magnum, P.I..
The opening of the 80s action series is remade shot-for-shot with Archer‘s characters, complete with the original music and Selleck moustache. There’s no word as yet on whether or not the new season will actually see Archer take on the role of a private investigator. This promo could just be a slick gag aimed at hyping up fans.
Then again, seeing as the team was fired by the CIA and blacklisted from espionage at the end of season 6, the closing credits coming in right after our leading man proclaims he may have a solution for how they can earn money, it’s highly possible P.I. work will be their new calling. But, what we really want to know: are we still doing phrasing?
We’ll find out when Archer season 7 begins on FX on March 31 (U.S. date).
