‘Assassin’s Creed Odyssey’ Trailer & Gameplay Walkthrough Takes Gamers to Ancient Greece

Ubisoft

The next big chapter in the Assassin’s Creed video game series will be taking players to ancient Greece.

Ubisoft has provided fans with a big look at what to expect in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, unveiling an official trailer and a gameplay walkthrough with commentary as part of its E3 presentation. The new game will be bringing a few new features to the franchise. For the first time, you’ll get the choice to play as either a male or female character, Alexios or Kassandra, both of which will feature the same narrative and gameplay possibilities.

Choice is a key element this time around. Among the choice aspects are interactive dialogues, which will have a hand in the outcomes of adventures, and a feature that allows players to choose where a new ability is mapped on the controller. Customisation looks to be a big component.

In a visual sense, it certainly looks similar to the fantastic Assassin’s Creed Origins, but there are some nice new features that could make it feel fresh. And the giant scope of these games means it’s going to be hard to know how it fares in the series until you’ve experienced a ton of it first.

Assassins Creed Odyssey hits Xbox One X and Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Windows PC on October 5.

Check out the two trailers below. The walkthrough is with the character of Kassandra in the city of Mykonos.
