It’s damn near perfect.
It ain’t perfect, but it’s damn good. Danny Boyle’s sequel is a joyously non-PC cinematic high.
Martin Scorsese’s latest is no easy journey, not in the slightest, but it’s a trip most certainly worth taking.
Despite a few small missteps, it’s hard to argue against a film with this many impressive elements.
As shockingly bad as many expected? No. A surprisingly successful remake? No.
Slightly weaker than its predecessor, but still a solid entry for the genre.
