Netflix just gave Avatar: The Last Airbender fans a real treat—a blooper reel packed with line flubs, stunt mishaps, and plenty of on-set giggles. But the fun didn’t stop there. The cast also sat down to react to their own blunders, cracking up as they relived the chaos.
The blooper reel features everything from Ian Ousley (Sokka) stumbling over his words—“Could I, sorry, redo. Sorry, I messed up”—to Dallas Liu (Zuko) missing a stunt and hearing, “Reset, everyone,” offscreen. And of course, Paul Sun-Hyung Lee (Iroh) cemented himself as the show’s comedic MVP, delivering a perfectly timed, “Now’s not a good time” after a prop malfunction.

The Cast Watches (and Roasts) Themselves
Watching their own outtakes, the cast couldn’t contain their laughter—especially when they realised Netflix had added extra sound effects. “Did they add that sound in?” one of them asked, stunned. Ousley’s adorable recovery attempt got a “That was cute,” while Liu groaned at his own over-the-top delivery.
The biggest laughs came when Lee’s now-iconic blooper played again, proving that no one—not even Iroh himself—could keep a straight face. “That was better than the one before,” Gordon Cormier (Aang) admitted after seeing one of his own fumbles. The whole reaction video was a reminder that behind all the bending and epic battles, this cast is just a bunch of goofballs having the time of their lives.
Meanwhile, Season 2 Is Full Steam Ahead
Filming for season 2 is already well underway, with executive producers Christine Boylan and Jabbar Raisani promising even bigger things ahead.
“We’re looking forward to working with all of our actors again and digging into the deeper, more complicated relationships that develop as their journey continues in Season 2,” they told Tudum. “We are going to show the real-world versions of iconic scenes from the original, and explore some of the stories that the animation didn’t.”
The duo also teased more time in the Earth Kingdom—yes, that means Ba Sing Se. “For the Gaang, fans can expect more brilliant plans from Sokka, even more masterful bending from Katara, Appa, and Momo to be as fluffy as ever, and Aang to learn a new bending form (or two).”
While the wait for season 2 continues, at least fans have the bloopers to remind them that even the most epic fantasy adventure comes with a few hilarious stumbles along the way.
