It’s something many had no doubt already expected, but Vin Diesel has delivered the confirmation.

Anthony and Joe Russo’s upcoming Avengers: Infinity War will include the Guardians of the Galaxy, meaning Star Lord and his team will likely be coming face to face with some of our Earth-inhabiting heroes.

“Now, the Guardians will be included in Avengers: Infinity War and that’s incredibly exciting,” Diesel told his many, many followers on his Facebook page. “You were told before everybody.”

The video was primarily made to promote the award Diesel was handed by Facebook for his page’s huge number of followers, currently numbering over 100.1 million.

This will mark the third Marvel film for the Russos, who previously brought us Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Captain America: Civil War. Avengers: Infinity War was, at least by name, to be the first of a two-parter, although the removal of the second film’s title, “Avengers: Infinity War – Part 2,” made it clear the first film wouldn’t be ending on conclusion-less cliffhanger.

Before the Guardians appear in Avengers: Infinity War, they’ll be the focus of their own sequel with James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, scheduled to hit U.S. cinemas on May 5, 2017. Avengers: Infinity War will follow around a year later, opening in the U.S. on May 4, 2018.
