Comedian and actor Aziz Ansari is set to star in his own Netflix series, a 10-episode comedy that has received a straight-to-series order from the streaming giant.
Ansari co-created the show with his Parks & Recreation co-executive producer Alan Yang. They’ll be attached as exec producers on the series, alongside other Parks & Rec alums Michael Schur, David Miner, and Dave Becky.
There isn’t much known about the comedy series, although Deadline reports that it “features semi-autobiographical elements and deals with dating and relationships”.
Comedians H. Jon Benjamin, Lena Waithe and Eric Wareheim will be co-starring in the New York-set series, with Claire Danes locked in as one of the show’s guest stars. Interestingly, The Spectacular Now director James Ponsoldt is attached at the helm.
