A new international trailer has dropped for Baby Driver, the upcoming action-thriller from writer-director Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World).

“He had an accident when he was a kid. He’s still got a hum in the drum; plays music to drown it out,” Kevin Spacey explains in the new trailer, thus giving us just what we need to explain a protagonist who is listening to music throughout most of the film (if not all of it).

Ansel Elgort plays Baby, a music-pumping getaway driver that wants out of the business when he meets the girls of his dreams (Lily James). One last heist, of course, and he’s free to go. Nope. Never that easy.

The buzz has been ringing for this one every since Wright announced it as his next film after leaving Ant-Man behind. Since its much-loved premiere at South by Southwest Film Festival, well, it’s become a must-see pic. Can’t wait.

Baby Driver, also starring Jamie Foxx, Jon Hamm, Jon Bernthal and Eiza González, will open in the US on June 28 and arrives in Australia on July 13.
