StudioCanal has dropped the first trailer for Ballerina, the upcoming CG animated movie featuring voice work from Elle Fanning and Dane DeHaan.
The film tells the story of Félicie Milliner, a recently orphaned eleven-year-old living in 1884 Paris. “Borrowing” the identity of a spoiled brat, Félicie proceeds to try and tackle her dream: To become a professional ballet dancer.
This French-Canadian production looks amiable, with charming visuals and a sweet tale that could help it gather a bit of an audience in a medium mostly driven by big-studio outings.
Ballerina will be hitting France on December 14 and will arrive in Australia on January 5, 2017.
