Final ‘Beasts of No Nation’ Trailer: A Child Soldier Wants to be Happy

Netflix has dropped the final trailer for Beasts of No Nation ahead of the film’s release, and it’s another emotionally-charged marketing piece driving home that, yes, we’re in for more potent work from director Cary Fukunaga (Sin Nombre, True Detective – season 1).

There’s a slight amount of optimism on display in this fantastic final trailer, but there’s no denying the grit, cruelty, and turmoil the film appears set to depict. Idris Elba and newcomer Abraham Attah look to shine as Fukunaga’s stylish-yet-honest lens does its thing.

After what feels like an eternity of waiting, it’s a relief to know Beasts of No Nation is just around the corner. The film will hit Netflix and begin a limited U.S. theatrical release on October 16.
