Beasts of No Nation Trailer: Idris Elba Asks a Boy to Kill

The first powerful and deeply intense trailer has been released for Beasts of No Nation, the upcoming Idris Elba-starring drama from True Detective director Cary Fukunaga.

Netflix was smart to obtain the distribution rights to this fantastic-looking film, which tells the story of a young West African boy who joins a unit of mercenary fighters led by Idris Elba’s Commandant.

Fukunaga’s work has been downright brilliant thus far, and Beasts of Nation looks to be bringing in the type of gritty realism he brought to the screen in his eye-opening debut, Sin Nombre.

This one’s high on our list of must-see movies. We can’t wait.

Beasts of No Nation, which looks to introduce a strong young actor with Abraham Attah, will be hitting Netflix on October 16.
