A bloody red band trailer has been released for Becky, an upcoming thriller starring usually comedic actors Kevin James and Joel McHale.
Lulu Wilson, who’s gathered an already impressive horror-heavy resume with Ouija: Origin of Evil, Annabelle: Creation and The Haunting of Hill House, here plays a rebellious girl who takes it upon herself to bring down the escaped convicts holding her dad (McHale). James plays the ruthless Neo-Nazi gang leader.
This new trailer certainly earns its “red band” classification, showcasing some of the gnarly moments these baddies are in for at the hands of this “strong-willed and vindictive” youngster. While showcasing a few of the takedowns could prove enticing for gore hounds, it may be a touch spoiler-ish when it doesn’t look like there’s exactly a crowd of bad guys to take down. Still, keen to see what’s in store.
Becky, directed by Jonathan Milott and Cary Murnion (Cooties, Bushwick), will be hitting select U.S. theaters, Drive-Ins, On Digital and On Demand on June 5.
Spunky and rebellious, Becky (Lulu Wilson) is brought to a weekend getaway at a lake house by her father Jeff (Joel McHale) in an effort to try to reconnect. The trip immediately takes a turn for the worse when a group of convicts on the run, led by the merciless Dominick (Kevin James), suddenly invade the lake house.
