Guardians of the Galaxy director-writer James Gunn has penned a horror flick directed by Aussie filmmaker Greg McLean (Wolf Creek, Rogue), and a teaser for the film has arrived ahead of the official trailer drop on November 30.

The Belko Experiment tells of 80 people that are placed in a twisted little experiment. After a high-rise office building is locked down, an unknown voice tells the people inside that they must either kill or be killed. Game on.

It’s a familiar type of premise, but early reviews that have come from the film’s festival run suggest there’s an energy and a dose of dark humour that could make this a bit of a standout. Even with the humour, it’s apparently very brutal, violent, grim stuff, so if that’s your cup of tea, you’ve probably got something to look forward to here.

The Belko Experiment, starring John Gallagher Jr., Tony Goldwyn, John C. McGinley and Michael Rooker, among others, hits US cinemas on March 17, 2017.

Logline for The Belko Experiment:

In a twisted social experiment, a group of 80 Americans are locked in their high-rise corporate office in Bogata, Colombia and ordered by an unknown voice coming from the company’s intercom system to participate in a deadly game of kill or be killed.
