Netflix has released the official trailer for Between Two Ferns: The Movie, taking Zach Galifianakis’ hilarious faux interview show to feature form.
The viral internet show, for those unaware, has Galifianakis interviewing celebrity guests – only in highly awkward and uncomfortable ways due to his character’s persona. There’s been a number of very famous guests – Barack Obama, Jennifer Lawrence and Brad Pitt among them.
The Netflix film finds Galifianakis accidentally killing Matthew McConaughey (at least momentarily) and being told by his producer, Will Ferrell, that he has to hit the road to make ten more episodes. Galifianakis also wants a network show, since, “I’m a white man and I’m straight. I deserve it.”
The array of big names popping up here include Benedict Cumberbatch (aka Benefit Lumberjacks), Peter Dinklage, Brie Larson, Keanu Reeves, Jon Hamm, and David Letterman, among many others. Galifianakis co-wrote the screenplay with director Scott Aukerman, who co-created Between Two Ferns and directed 15 of the episodes.
Between Two Ferns: The Movie hits Netflix on September 20.
