‘Body Cam’ Trailer: Mary J. Blige and Nat Wolff Are Cops Facing a Supernatural Killer

Paramount Pictures

Paramount has released the official trailer for Body Cam, an upcoming supernatural action-thriller starring Mary J. Blige and Nat Wolff.

Blige plays a veteran cop who’s been left troubled after the murder of a fellow officer by a mysterious figure. When the figure returns, she soon suspects something supernatural at play.

There could be some thrills to be had in this small-scale thriller. Hopefully there are a few twists in store to pique interest though, as it seems a little run-of-the-mill from the trailer. Still, digging that it’s a film with Blige and Wolff as leads. This marks the sophomore feature effort from director Malik Vitthal, who previously helmed 2014 John Boyega-starring Netflix drama Imperial Dreams.

Body Cam, also starring Anika Noni Rose, Theo Rossi and David Zayas, hits U.S. digital on May 19.

Official synopsis for Body Cam:

While investigating the bizarre murder of a fellow officer, veteran Renee Lomito (Mary J. Blige) discovers a mysterious figure in their body cam footage. Haunted by visions of the event, she suspects something supernatural is targeting the cops in her unit. Nat Wolff also stars in this intense action thriller.
