Prepare yourself: the full-length trailer has arrived Borat 2, or as it’s actually titled, Borat: Subsequent Moviefilm: Delivery of Prodigious Bribe to American Regime for Make Benefit Once Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan.
Yes, Sacha Baron Cohen returns as Borat, the Kazakh television journalist we saw running amok in the US in 2006’s Borat – aka Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan. How has it already been 14 years since that?! Baron Cohen’s back at it, once again placing a big satirical spotlight on America – and what a year he’s chosen.
Smartly, the “plot” side of the film now has Borat dealing with being recognised by Americans, so he has a few other disguises to work with. Oh, and this time Borat’s brought his daughter along for the ride, a character that will serve for even more jaw-dropping scenarios. Take a look at some of the craziness in store in the trailer below.
Borat 2, directed by established television helmer Jason Woliner (What We Do in the Shadow series, Saturday Night Live, Parks and Recreation), will be streaming on Amazon Prime Video from October 23rd.
