‘Heart of the Beast’: Brad Pitt Reuniting with ‘Fury’ Director David Ayer for Survival Adventure

Brad Pitt will be starring in Heart of the Beast, an upcoming adventure film that reunites him with Fury director David Ayer (End of Watch, Suicide Squad).

The film, written by newcomer Cameron Alexander, will have Pitt playing a former Army Special Forces soldier stranded in the remote Alaskan wilderness after a plane crash. Alongside his retired combat dog, he must navigate a harrowing fight for survival against the elements.

As first reported by Deadline, the film is being produced under Pitt’s Plan B Entertainment, Ayer’s Crave Films, and Damien Chazelle (who directed Pitt in Babylon) and Olivia Hamilton’s Wild Chickens Productions. Temple Hill Entertainment is also attached.

The project marks the first collaboration between Pitt and Ayer since Fury (2014), a gritty World War II drama that was both critically acclaimed and commercially successful. For Pitt, Heart of the Beast follows a string of high-profile projects. F1, his Formula 1 film directed by Top Gun: Maverick’s Joseph Kosinski, is slated for release in June. Pitt has also been busy as both a lead actor and producer, teaming up with George Clooney for Apple TV+’s Wolfs and overseeing several projects under his Plan B umbrella, including Beetlejuice Beetlejuice and Bob Marley: One Love.

Ayer’s next feature to hit cinemas is A Working Man, a Sylvester Stallone-written actioner starring Jason Statham. You can check out the trailer for that one right HERE.
