Watch: That Time Jake & Holt from ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ Were Quarantined

Fox

Remember that time that Brooklyn Nine-Nine, one of the most feel-good shows on television, had two of its lead characters forced into quarantine after catching an infectious disease?

The Brooklyn Nine-Nine YouTube channel has released an oh-so timely throwback clip, taking us back to season 3’s twelfth episode, “9 Days.” The episode saw Captain Holt (Andre Braugher) and Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg) contract the mumps during an investigation. “Ha! Mumps.”

Told to quarantine themselves, they decided to do so together to so that they can continue the investigation. Unfortunately for them, major facial swelling (meet oh-so hateable Simon and evil demon Balthazar) and delirious analysing isn’t going to help crack the case anytime soon. And then they decide to head outdoors. Luckily, Amy Santiago (Melissa Fumero) knows the risks.

Hope everyone’s staying in doors – if you can. And at least the guys out there can be a little relieved that – so far and hopefully not ever – the Coronavirus isn’t known to cause “extreme testicular discomfort.”
