Bruce Willis is set to star in Vice, a futuristic action-thriller set in a world where humans can enact all their perverse desires onto androids, considering that their memories are reset every night. No surprise, one particular android becomes self-aware and manages to escape. He becomes intent on shutting down the organisation that caters to the depraved, which is run by Julian, Willis’ character. Amber Chylders (2 Guns, Ray Donovan, The Master) will be playing the android.
The screenplay has been written by Andre Fabrizio, who has a writing credit on Dwayne Johnson’s upcoming disaster-pic San Andreas, and Jeremy Passmore, who co-wrote the 2012 Red Dawn remake. Producers Randall Emmett and George Furla will be reuniting with the writers and star of The Prince, another Willis-thriller, co-starring Jason Patric, John Cusack and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, that just finished production in Alabama. Emmett and Furla are clearly loving Willis, they also recently announced that they set the actor as their lead in Captive, a Brazil-set action thriller.
Emmett/Furla/Oasis Films, the company behind Lone Survivor, is set to produce and finance the $15 million picture, which is to be distributed by Grindstone/Lionsgate Films.
Vice will begin shooting in Alabama on March 15, with more cast members — along with a director — to still be announced.
