Take a look at an extended clip released from upcoming Transformers spinoff Bumblebee.
The spinoff takes as back to ’87, when teen Charlie (Hailee Steinfeld) finds the beloved Autobot in a junkyard. The plot, of course, also entails the world being in jeopardy, military dudes, and plenty of mayhem, but Charlie and her new buddy will have to have some fun before that. The charming little clip below finds Charlie and Memo (Jorge Lendeborg Jr., Love, Simon) taking Bumblee to TP and egg a house. He’s got a thing or two to learn about that.
Having Michael Bay away from the helm here appears to be the right way to go. As of now, the film has an impressive 96% on Rotten Tomatoes, with critics praising the film’s fun tone, characterisation and focus on emotion. Yep, it’s looking the franchise’s best film – at least critically – thus far.
Bumblebee, also starring John Cena and John Ortiz, hits Aus cinemas on December 20 and opens in the US on December 21.
