The trailer for the fifth and final season of Bump has been released, offering fans a glimpse at what looks like an eventful, bittersweet conclusion to the beloved Australian series. Known for its mix of sharp humour and emotional storytelling, the Stan Original has become a staple for many viewers, especially during the holiday season. The final season is set to premiere on Boxing Day, with all episodes dropping at once on Stan.
Season five delves deep into the challenges facing the Chalmers-Davis family. Meanwhile, Santi steps up to support his family, but their daughter Jacinda struggles with feeling left out amid the upheaval.
The extended family’s lives are equally eventful. Dom and Tim finally realise their dream of opening a record shop, though shadows from Tim’s past loom over their fresh start. Vince is testing the waters of a new relationship, trying to redefine his boundaries while dealing with lingering memories of Reema. Rosa’s business is thriving, but the challenges of raising teenage sons bring new complications to her home life. And in a bittersweet arc, Bernardita prepares for the arrival of a new great-grandchild while Bowie uncovers his true calling after a long search for meaning.
Returning to lead the cast are Nathalie Morris, Carlos Sanson Jr., and Ava Cannon, joined by Claudia Karvan, Angus Sampson, and Christian Byers. Fan favourites Ioane Sa’ula, Safia Arain, and Dylan Alcott also reprise their roles, ensuring plenty of familiar faces for longtime viewers. Behind the scenes, creators Claudia Karvan and Kelsey Munro are supported by a talented team of writers and directors, including several who have worked on Bump from its early days.
Produced by Roadshow Rough Diamond and financed with the support of Screen NSW, Bump has been a standout in Australian television, blending drama, comedy, and moments of heartfelt relatability. The series will bow out on Boxing Day, 26 December, with every episode of its final season available to stream on Stan.
