Roadshow Films has unveiled a new trailer for Burnt, an upcoming comedy-drama starring Bradley Cooper.
Burnt sees Cooper play Adam Jones, a hard-headed and determined two-star Michelin chef on the road to a comeback. His desire to earn that third star and to create the best restaurant in Paris won’t be easy.
Burnt certainly appears to be packing the goods. There’s a fantastic cast, including Sienna Miller, Omar Sy, Emma Thompson, Daniel Brühl, Alicia Vikander, Uma Thurman and Lily James, and it has John Wells (The Company Men, August: Osage County) directing from a screenplay by Steven Knight (Dirty Pretty Things, Eastern Promises, Locke). Yet, this trailer and the one before it haven’t really provided too much excitement. It may the lack of a solid tone, or the amount of different plot devices on display. Still, we’re hopeful that just comes down to the trailers and the film itself turns out to be a winner.
Burnt will be hitting the U.S. on October 23.
Synopsis for Burnt:
Chef Adam Jones (Bradley Cooper) had it all – and lost it. A two-star Michelin rockstar with the bad habits to match, the former enfant terrible of the Paris restaurant scene did everything different every time out, and only ever cared about the thrill of creating explosions of taste. To land his own kitchen and that third elusive Michelin star though, he’ll need the best of the best on his side, including the beautiful Helene (Sienna Miller). BURNT is a remarkably funny and emotional story about the love of food, the love between two people, and the power of second chances.
