At the centre of Busboys are Markie (Spade) and Steef (Von), a pair of struggling friends who are convinced they have stumbled upon a foolproof path to a better life: become busboys.

The trailer quickly establishes that things are not exactly going well for the duo. They’re broke, frustrated, and clearly not thriving. Then inspiration strikes when they spot a “Busboys Wanted” sign outside a restaurant. Markie lays out the master plan with absolute confidence: start as busboys, prove they’re unstoppable workers, get promoted to waiters within days, and then enjoy the supposed perks of restaurant life.
A Comedy Packed with Familiar Faces
Alongside Spade and Von, the trailer teases a number of cameo appearances from well-known comedy personalities. Among the familiar faces popping up are Tim Dillon, Bobby Lee, and Trevor Wallace, all showing up in small but memorable moments throughout the footage. Even UFC fighter Nate Diaz makes a surprise appearance at the end of the trailer. The cast also includes Kam Patterson, Jay Pharoah, Charlotte McKinney, and Chris Elliot.
Busboys was written and produced by Spade and Von themselves, marking a collaboration between the comedian-actor and the stand-up and podcast star. The film is directed by Jonah Feingold, whose previous credits include the romantic comedies Ex Mas and At Midnight.
