Marvel Unveils New ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ Trailer and Unleashes Harrison Ford’s Red Hulk

Marvel Studios has just dropped an action-packed new trailer for Captain America: Brave New World, giving audiences a closer look at the fierce challenges ahead for Anthony Mackie‘s Sam Wilson as he takes up the iconic shield in his first feature film as Captain America. Take a look at the new trailer above and scroll down to check out the newly released poster (highlighting a big fight).

Premiered at Brazil’s D23 fan event, the two-and-a-half-minute trailer kicks off with Wilson diving into his latest high-stakes mission. Fans get a much better look at Harrison Ford‘s Red Hulk – an angry transformation for his character, Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, now serving as the President of the United States. Ford takes over the role previously portrayed by the late William Hurt.

Joining Wilson’s Captain America is Danny Ramirez’s Joaquin Torres, the fresh face of the Falcon; the trailer teases an exhilarating aerial sequence featuring the two in action. The threat that Wilson is facing here extends past just an angry Red Hulk, including Carl Lumbly’s Isaiah Bradley, a super-soldier tied deeply to Captain America’s history, and Giancarlo Esposito’s Seth Voelker (Sidewinder), a sharp-witted leader of the Serpent Society.

The cast also includes Shira Haas as Ruth Bat-Seraph, an Israeli Black Widow and key ally to Ross, Liv Tyler reprising her role as Betty Ross, the President’s daughter, and Tim Blake Nelson as the brilliant but vengeful Samuel Sterns.

The film is directed by Julius Onah (The Cloverfield Paradox, Luce), with a screenplay penned by The Falcon and the Winter Soldier writers Malcolm Spellman and Dalan Musson, alongside Matthew Orton (Operation Finale).

Captain America: Brave New World will be released in Australian cinemas on February 13th and U.S. cinemas on February 14th.
