Chaos Walking is set in a future in which all women have died and the remaining men can hear each others’ thoughts in a stream of images, words, and sounds called “the Noise.” The clip below offers up a little of Todd Hewitt’s (Holland) noise, expressing shock at the sight of a girl, Viola Eade (Ridley), who has crash landed on his planet.
Mads Mikkelsen plays the villain and Demián Bichir, David Oyelowo and Nick Jonas are among the cast members of Chaos Walking, which started filming in 2017 and received sizeable reshoots following negative test screenings. The film is directed by Doug Liman (Edge of Tomorrow, The Bourne Identity) and written by Patrick Ness (author of the book it’s based on) and Christopher Ford (Spider-Man: Homecoming).
Chaos Walking is set to hit Aussie and New Zealand cinemas on January 21st, 2021. In the US, the film has been delayed again, this time for a cinema and IMAX release on March 5th, 2021. If you haven’t seen it, or want to check it out again, you can find the trailer HERE.
