Daredevil had its first season hit Netflix in April last year, Jessica Jones‘ first season followed in November and last month saw Daredevil‘s awesome second chapter hits screens. Not only do we still have Luke Cage and Iron Fist runs to come, plus a second season for Jones, there’s also the planned Avengers-style team-up series, The Defenders. And the two studios aren’t skipping a beat.
“What we do know is at the end of this year we’re going to be making The Defenders and, of course, Daredevil is very much a part of that foursome,” Daredevil actor Charlie Cox revealed to media during a panel discussion in Paris.
“I have no idea what the storyline is going to be for that show. I’m very excited to see how those world’s combine…and interested to see tonally how those shows become one.”
Luke Cage season 1 will hit Netflix on September 30, and we’re assuming Iron Fist (with Game of Thrones actor Finn Jones in the lead) will arrive early in 2017 and The Defenders will arrive later next year.
With so much on the horizon, many have been left wondering when it is we’ll be seeing Jessica Jones‘ second season hit our screens. If JJs2 heads into production later this year and is also scheduled for release next year, we’ll have three Marvel-Netflix shows to look forward to in 2017. And that’s only a good thing.
