One of Netflix‘s tastiest shows will soon be bringing the second course to the table.
The trailer has arrived for the second volume of The Chef Show, the cooking series that has filmmaker/actor Jon Favreau (Iron Man, The Lion King) and his buddy, Chef Roy Choi, cooking up delicious meals with celebrity guests along for the mouth-watering ride.
It’s a very simple and very familiar concept, but the format makes for an easy and very likeable watch here. Favreau and Choi are a fun pair, their love of the food infectious. Even if you aren’t an avid cook (I can make the hell out of… 2-minute noodles?), there are some great pointers thrown around, and when you add some big names (season 1 had celebs such as Tom Holland, Robert Downey Jr. and Bill Burr), the infotainment box gets a big tick.
The official trailer below isn’t a trailer per se, but a look at a moment with Favreau, Choi and Seth Rogen, the latter of whom is amusingly confused at the abundance of seemingly contradictory ingredients. Rogen recently voiced Pumbaa in Favreau’s live-action/CG remake of The Lion King.
As per EW, the second season will feature chef Daniele Uditi of Pizzana, chef Wes Avila of Guerilla Tacos, Andrew Rea, and chef David Chang. There’s also going to be an episode filmed at George Lucas’ Skywalker Ranch, with Mandalorian and Star Wars: The Clone Wars director Dave Filoni chatting about Star Wars and cooking with ingredients from the ranch.
The Chef Show: Volume 2 will be hitting Netflix on September 13.
