Take a look at the trailer released for upcoming horror film Countdown.
The film tells of an app that claims to predict exactly when a person is going to die – down to the second. It’s believed to be fake, that is until more people begin to meet their ends at the exact moment the app predicted. We follow Quinn (You‘s Elizabeth Lail), a young nurse that downloads the app and must find a way to save herself before time runs out.
It’s a simple, amusing little premise that could work well with the tongue-in-cheek vibe they have going on here. Probably best not to expect much here, but hopefully there are some fun thrills to be had.
This marks the feature debut for short-film director Justin Dec, who also wrote the screenplay. Also starring Anne Winters, Peter Facinelli, Jordan Calloway, P.J. Byrne and comedian Tom Segura, Countdown will be hitting US cinemas on October 25.
