The official trailer has landed for Crime 101, a twisty new crime thriller boasting a heavyweight cast led by Chris Hemsworth, Halle Berry, Barry Keoghan, and Mark Ruffalo. Watch the trailer above and read on for the essentials.
A high-stakes heist
Based on the Don Winslow novella of the same name, the story follows Davis (Hemsworth), an elusive thief whose precision jobs have left police baffled. Hoping his next score will be his last, Davis lines up a multi-million-dollar heist — but he’s not the only one with eyes on the prize. The plan is complicated by Sharon (Berry), a disillusioned insurance executive pulled into the scheme, and Orman (Keoghan), a rival thief with far harsher methods.

As Davis locks in on the ultimate haul, Lt. Lubesnik (Ruffalo) closes in, determined to bring him down. The cat-and-mouse dynamic blurs the line between hunter and hunted as each player is forced to reckon with the cost of their choices.
The cast and crew
Alongside the leads, the cast includes Monica Barbaro, Corey Hawkins, Jennifer Jason Leigh, and Nick Nolte.
Crime 101 comes from writer-director Bart Layton, making his narrative feature debut after the acclaimed hybrid American Animals and documentary The Imposter. Layton and Hemsworth also serve as producers.
Cinematography is by Erik Wilson (The Imposter, Paddington), with editing by Julian Hart (American Animals, The Tinder Swindler) and Jacob Secher Schulsinger (The Square, Big Little Lies).

Crime 101 opens in Australian cinemas on February 12 and U.S. cinemas on February 13, 2026.
