Marvel has released a new promo for Daredevil: Born Again season 2, offering fresh glimpses of the next chapter in the gritty series. Watch the promo above, then read on for more on what lies ahead in Matt Murdock’s growing fight against Mayor Wilson Fisk.
Mayor Fisk Tightens His Grip on New York
The brief but punchy promo teases the increasingly dire situation facing Hell’s Kitchen. With Wilson Fisk now serving as mayor, the once-crime boss appears to be consolidating power across New York City, turning his attention firmly toward the masked vigilante who continues to operate in the shadows.

But Daredevil, Matt Murdock, is preparing to push back, and this time he will not be fighting alone. Cue up Jessica Jones, played once again by Krysten Ritter. “Can you stop him?” she asks Matt in the promo. His answer is blunt: “Not alone.” As the clip winds down, Jessica adds a sarcastic note of optimism: “This should be tons of fun.”
The 30-second spot also features a shot of a gun-toting Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll), along with a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it glimpse of Camila Rodriguez returning as Angela Del Toro. Angela will be taking on the White Tiger mantle in season 2, following the death of Hector Ayala (played by the late Kamar de los Reyes) in the first season.
You can also glimpse Tony Dalton returning as Jack Duquesne (aka the Swordsman), Wilson Bethel back as Benjamin “Dex” Poindexter, and Fisk laying the smackdown in a boxing ring.
Karen and Matt’s Complicated Bond
Beyond the street-level war brewing in New York, season 2 will also revisit the emotional connection between Matt Murdock and Karen Page. The official teaser trailer released in January offered a glimpse of the two sharing a dance and looking extra cosy together.
Speaking with The Direct while promoting Tales From Woodcreek, Deborah Ann Woll shed a bit more light on the evolving dynamic between Karen and Charlie Cox’s Matt. While the two characters previously attempted a romance in the original Daredevil series and again in Born Again season 1, their relationship heading into season 2 appears shaped by something deeper.
Woll explained, “Look I mean, I think from where we left everything off last season, they have a really big job ahead of them. And I think, you know, Matt and Karen are both loners, and so they are pretty much the only other person that the other one has left.”
She added that their connection is now rooted in a strong sense of mutual support: “And so I think there’s a dependence and a reliance and a support of one another that you know will be interesting to see how that plays out.”
The Cast and the Release Date
Returning cast members also include Ayelet Zurer as Vanessa Fisk and Margarita Levieva as Heather Glenn, with Matthew Lillard joining the series as the mysterious Mr. Charles.
The new season will consist of eight episodes and is set to begin streaming on Disney+ on March 24 in the U.S. and March 25 in Australia (time differences). Marvel has already confirmed that a third season of the series is on the way as well.
