Jennifer Lawrence may soon be starring in a film directed by Darren Aronofsky.
The Oscar-winning actress is in talks to lead an untitled indie currently in development by the Black Swan and The Wrestler director, according to Variety.
Lawrence is all the rage at the moment, constantly circling high-profile projects – one of which she has now dropped. The actress was originally attached to star in Richard Linklater’s (Boy) adaptation of Graeme Simsion’s novel The Rosie Project, but The Wrap reports this is no longer the case. There’s no word as yet if Aronofsky’s project has anything to do with that.
It was reported that Aronofsky was developing an Evel Knievel biopic set to star Channing Tatum, but the director has decided to move on from this one. There’s still a possibility this project moves on with another filmmaker.
Aronofsky’s team-up with Lawrence is expected to go ahead, seeing as the director is said to be aiming to shoot around March next year and Lawrence’s wrap up on The Hunger Games and X-Men franchises equates to more free time. We’ll let you know as to how this one develops.
