David Ayer (Harsh Times, Street Kings, End of Watch) is currently in production of his new film, Fury. The film, an action-drama set in WWII, tells the story of a crew of Americans in Nazi Germany toward the end of World War II. They embark on a brave mission behind enemy lines aboard the titular tank.
Starring Brad Pitt, Shia LaBeouf, Logan Lerman, Jon Bernthal, Michael Pena, and Jason Isaacs, this sure sounds – and looks – fantastic. David Ayer has been releasing photos from the set via his Twitter account. It’s worth noting that he’ll be shooting this using film.
Here’s the official synopsis for Fury:
FURY is set at the very end of World War II, in April 1945. As the Allies make their final push in the European Theater, a battle-hardened army sergeant named Wardaddy (Brad Pitt) commands a Sherman tank and her five-man crew on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. Outnumbered and outgunned, Wardaddy and his men face overwhelming odds in their heroic attempts to strike at the heart of Nazi Germany.
