‘Deadpool 2’: Here’s Your First Look at Zazie Beetz as Domino

Isn’t it great when we get an official look at an upcoming film character instead of a grainy, leaked paparazzi shot?

Our first look at Zazie Beetz (Atlanta) as mutant Domino has been released thanks to Ryan Reynolds. Beetz will be playing the Marvel character in Deadpool 2, which is currently in production and is scheduled to hit U.S. cinemas on June 1, 2018.

“Some people just know how to work a red carpet,” Reynolds posted

The character of Domino, who made her comic debut in the same ’91 issue as Deadpool (New Mutants No. 98), acquired her powers as a result of the Weapon X program used to create the ultimate soldier. Apart from exceptional marksmanship and physical combat skills, Domino also holds the power to alter probability itself, able to create “good luck” for herself and those around her.

The comics have depicted Domino as the partner, confidante, and lover of the superhero mutant Cable, which will be played by Oscar nominee Josh Brolin in the highly anticipated sequel.

John Wick co-director and Atomic Blonde helmer David Leitch is working from a screenplay by returning scribes Rhett Reese & Paul Wernick, with additional work from Drew Goddardd (The Cabin in the Woods, World War Z).
