Take a look at the trailer released for upcoming Apple TV+ series Defending Jacob, starring Chris Evans, Michelle Dockery, and Jaeden Martell.
Based on the 2012 bestseller by William Landay, Defending Jacob has Evans playing an assistant district attorney whose son (It actor Martell) is suspected of a shocking murder. He finds himself torn between his sworn duty to justice and his love for his son.
It’s a good trailer, teasing a moody, riveting story with a meaty role for Evans, who actually got his start in television – a role on a short-live Fox teen series from 2000 called Opposite Sex. Defending Jacob comes from writer Mark Bomback, best known for his feature writing, such as The Wolverine and Dawn & War for the Planet of the Apes. Fingers crossed for it.
The series also stars Cherry Jones, Pablo Schreiber, Sakina Jaffrey, Betty Gabriel, and J.K. Simmons, and will have its first three episodes hit Apple TV+ on April 24.
