Ranveer Singh is back, and Hamza looks like he’s calling the shots
Ranveer Singh returns in character, with the teaser framing his path into the vengeful agent Hamza. It’s a lean, attitude-forward glimpse rather than a plot dump: trench coat on, hair down, and a version of this world where Hamza isn’t feeling things out — he’s laying down the rules.

It’s also worth noting what this sequel is following up. Dhurandhar is now officially the highest-grossing Hindi-language film in Indian history, so there’s certainly pressure to go bigger here.
A familiar final line hits again, but not everyone’s loving the déjà vu
The teaser closes on a pointed callback: “Yeh naya Hindustan hai. Yeh ghar mein ghusega bhi aur maarega bhi” (“This is the new India – it will enter your home and also annihilate you”). It’s the same line used at the end of the first film, clearly planted here as a blunt reminder of the tone this sequel wants to carry forward.
But that familiarity, and other moments in the teaser, have also sparked some online pushback, with a few fans frustrated that it appears to reuse footage from Dhurandhar’s closing stretch.
Release date set, with a clear multi-language rollout planned
Dhurandhar: The Revenge is written, directed, and produced by Aditya Dhar, with Jyoti Deshpande and Lokesh Dhar producing for Jio Studios and B62 Studios.
The sequel is set to be released internationally on March 19, 2026, timed to coincide with major Indian festivals, including Eid-ul-Fitr, Gudi Padwa, and Ugadi.
