Netflix has released a new trailer for The Do-Over, the next feature for the somehow-still-in-demand Adam Sandler.
It’s been around 7 years since the last decent film starring Adam Sandler; Judd Apatow’s Funny People, in this writer’s opinion. Since then we’ve had one poor film after another, and last year’s first Sandler-Netflix feature, The Ridiculous Six, was oh-so-jaw-droppingly bad. And yet, somehow, despite highly negative reviews across the board, The Ridiculous Six locked itself in as the most-watched movie in Netflix history. Go figure.
Clearly, Sandler still has a sizeable fan base, and they will no doubt be keen for The Do-Over, which sees Sandler and David Spade playing two guys that fake their deaths and head off on an adventure. Watch the profanity-filled new trailer below and decide if The Do-Over stands a chance to break that aforementioned viewing record.
The Do-Over, also starring Paula Patton, Kathryn Hahn and Sean Astin, will hit Netflix on May 27 (U.S. date).
Logline for The Do-Over:
The life of a bank manager is turned upside down when a friend from his past manipulates him into faking his own death and taking off on an adventure.
