BBC America has dropped the first full trailer for the upcoming 10th series of Doctor Who.

The new piece throws up plenty of footage to enjoy, giving us a look at what appears to be quite the eventful last hurrah for Peter Capaldi as the Time Lord. The new travelling companion, Bill, is played by Pearl Mackie, Matt Lucas is on board as Nardole and Michelle Gomez is back as Missy, aka The Master.

Apart from being Capaldi’s last season in the lead, season 10 will also mark the end for showrunner Steven Moffat. It’s going to be interesting to see where we go after the 10th chapter wraps, with both a new showrunner and Time Lord. Tilda Swinton is currently a favourite to take on the mantle – now that would be interesting.

Doctor Who season 10 will begin on BBC America on April 15.
