‘Dracula’: First Trailer for BBC & Netflix Remake Brings Out the Fangs

BBC

BBC has unveiled the teaser trailer for Dracula, an upcoming three-part mini-series from Sherlock creators Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat.

Claes Bang (The Square, The Affair) plays the titular Bram Stoker creation in a retelling that follow his origins in Eastern Europe to his battles with Van Helsing’s descendant and beyond.

“Try and stay calm, you’re doing very well,” the classic vampire tells a victim in the promising teaser trailer, which shows off some striking imagery that promises this will be a stylish, bloody affair. Gatiss and Moffat crafted something very special with their take on Sherlock Holmes, so it’s highly enticing to see what they’ve got in store for the Count. And having both BBC and Netflix as co-producers bodes well, too.

Dracula, directed by Jonny Campbell (Westworld), Damon Thomas (Killing Eve) and Paul McGuigan (Sherlock), will be hitting BBC One in the UK and Netflix around the world. No release date has been announced as yet.
