The Agency Season 2 Trailer Brings Martian Back to the Brink
The first season of The Agency put Martian through the wringer, and season 2 looks ready to make his life even messier. Fassbender returns as the CIA agent living undercover in his own life, with the new chapter centred on his desperate mission to save Samia, played by Jodie Turner-Smith.

Samia is now a political prisoner in Sudan, and Martian’s determination to get her out looks set to push him past the point of no return. The set-up is a strong one: he wants to save the woman he loves, but every move risks pulling him further from the mission he is meant to serve. Romantic? Sure. Terrible for spycraft? Absolutely.

Alongside Fassbender and Turner-Smith, season 2 brings back a stacked ensemble that includes Jeffrey Wright, Katherine Waterston, Harriet Sansom Harris, John Magaro, Saura Lightfoot-Leon, India Fowler, Andrew Brooke, Christian Ochoa Lavernia, Reza Brojerdi, Ambreen Razia, Alex Reznik and Richard Gere.
Dominic West and Hugh Bonneville are also guest starring, while recurring cast members include Medalion Rahimi, Tessa Ferrer, Clayne Crawford, Keanush Tafreshi and Raza Jaffrey.
The Agency Season 2 Release Date and Creative Team
All ten episodes of The Agency season 2 will be available on Paramount+ on June 21.
The series is produced in association with Paramount Television Studios and 101 Studios. Jez Butterworth and John-Henry Butterworth return as writers and executive producers, with George Clooney, Grant Heslov, Michael Fassbender, Joe Wright, Keith Cox and others also among the executive producers.
The Agency is a fresh take on the acclaimed French drama Le Bureau des Légendes, known internationally as The Bureau. That original series was created by Eric Rochant and is a Création CANAL+ original produced by TOP – The Originals Productions and Federation Studios.
